Text Box: We built our “Radio Flyer” in 2004. After seeing a similar Flyer at a Pleasanton show it got us thinking. His was made out of wood, we would make ours out of sheet metal and aluminum. We wanted to try to stay simplistic with the look. Mounted on a 1927 “T” Bucket chassis, this 350 powered wagon can keep up with traffic just fine. The interior features 2 tubbed bucket seats, driver, passenger, with seat belts. For parading the interior is lined with marine grade carpet and bench cushions.
YES we can really drive it. YES it is street legal. YES it gets a lot of attention. NO, I’m sure it wouldn’t float for long. I built models as a kid and loved the hot rods and customs. Winkfield, Barris’. So I thought, “what would they do”. Although not to the standards as a classic custom, it was built with vision to see something cool.
THANK YOU to all the people we meet at shows and cruise –ins that tell us how much they enjoy it.
That is why we bring it. It always creates smiles.
