Text Box: “PAPA’S TOYS”
STREET RODS, CUSTOMS AND CLASSICS
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Text Box: “Papa’s Toys” is an automobile collection of
The Davis’ and Family
“The Davis Collection” started with a 1957 T-Bird and the memories of past cars owned and admired by both John and Susan Davis while growing up.
About 1987 John and Susan went to Hot August Nights in Reno and got hooked on getting “good deals” at the auction. At one time we actually had 3 car carriers full come home. Every year brings new “Toy’s” to the collection.
Currently located in the warehouse in Cornelius it now consists of over 150 Street Rods, Customs and Classics and continues to grow. Vehicles from the 20’s through 80’s. A mix of flashy paint, shiny chrome, loud pipes and just plain classy and stock automobiles and trucks.
Including: a 1948 Ford that was driven by Roy Orbison. Lee Petty’s 1957 Dodge Coronet. A 1938 Lincoln Limousine that is said to be from Al Capone's fleet. A 1931 Cadillac Limo that was once owned by the Rockefellers. Ernie Hall’s Top Fuel dragster. 1954 Packard Caribbean once owned by Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. A 1961 stretched Chevy Suburban once used to shuttle the stars of “Bonanza” to and from the Ponderosa while filming. PLUS THE “RADIO FLYER” WAGON.
Many of these are shown through the year at different car shows and “cruise-ins” around the Northwest.
